The Caledonians meet on the second Friday of the month, October through June, in the Social Hall, main floor of the Lake City Presbyterian Church at 3841 Northeast 123rd Street, Seattle, WA., 98125.  Unless otherwise noted, the Gatherings start at 7:30pm (set-up from 6:30) and include Scottish entertainment, a nice raffle with numerous prizes, and a delicious, substantial Tea.  No charge for our regular Gatherings, but a suggested contribution of $5 for the Tea is appreciated (the Tea and raffle help pay our expenses including the rental on the hall). The evening usually concludes around 9:30-10:00pm.

Information about our Website

As thrifty Scots we did a lot of shopping before selecting companies to register our domain name and to serve as our web host. Many advertised great prices, but their features turned out to be the computer equivalent of two tin cans and a waxed string! We have been very pleased with the following companies and would recommend them highly.

Domain Name Registration

To register our domain name of www.caledonians.com, we used GoDaddy.com. They were easy to use, very prompt, and most reasonable at around $10 per year.  They also offer budget-friendly web hosting with a very easy to use site builder called "Web Site Tonight".  The five page site is a real bargain.

Web Host Information

To build our site, and as our web host, we found LinkSky to be inexpensive and quick to respond to questions. They recently expanded with many new options and features. We're using their 10 page, "SuperSite 10" sitebuilder with a standard account for only $7.90 a month and it more than meets our needs.
